Privacy vs. Tyranny
For those who would not accept tyranny but feel obliged to give up privacy, beware:
“Privacy protects us from abuses by those in power, even if we’re doing nothing wrong at the time of surveillance.”
Read The Eternal Value of Privacy by Bruce Schneier.

IFN Raising The Bar
Speaking of film, I went to my first meeting of the Indianapolis Filmmakers Network (IFN) on Wednesday night at Key Cinemas. This particular meeting was a special event called “Raising The Bar - Taking Filmmaking To The Next Level”. At the meeting, they showed 3 different films and had the filmmakers talk about their experiences. It was fantastic to hear the stories and meet the directors
Personally, I feel that events like this are a great experience for me as an actor, as I get a chance to hear about the experience these filmmakers have behind the camera - and the more I know about the process behind the camera, the better I can be in front of it.
And all of the films were enjoyable as well, so that was a nice bonus! Speaking of which, here are the films and the filmmakers in case you get a chance to see them (you can see Coming To My Senses online, so click through):
Coming To My Senses - Chad Richards
In The Blue - Sarah Mynett and Kehaulani Haydon

To Haunt You
Hey! So just when I thought I might get bored with no acting going on, I’ve got another film project! This time Jim Mannan of Liberty or Death Productions was looking for help in finishing his project To Haunt You and contacted me to ask if I was interested in taking the role. As a matter of fact, I was only too happy to take the role as it is not only another opportunity to act, but it also means I’ll get a chance to work with Eric Bryant - the most excellent gentleman I’ve been assisting with the fencing classes! The shoot is a week from Saturday… and I can’t wait!

Better mileage from your current car
We’ve all heard that we could get much better mileage (and thus save money!) by just changing our driving habits. But of all the tips and techniques out there… what works and what doesn’t? Thankfully, Edmunds has the answers.
The biggest saver on the list? Stop driving so aggressively, dammit! (And, yes, I know that applies to me as well.)

No more excuses: Get a mac!
Seriously: If you’re still stuck on Windows, now is the time to get a mac! There are really no more excuses to continue to burden yourself with an inferior machine.
Don’t worry, even if you really get desperate for, I don’t know, a minesweeper fix? - you could boot Windows on your Mac… or even go one better and run Windows in a Window on your Mac but, let’s get serious: Once you have tried OS X, who’d want to do that to themselves if they could avoid it? (And anyway, you can get Minesweeper for the Mac if you really want it…)
