The Alchemist

Last night was the World Premier of Open Micr’s at the IMAX! In fact, it was a night of firsts for me: My first film role, my first movie premier, and my first photo with a movie star (thank you, Cindy Morgan!)

And it was absolutely wonderful to see the movie come to completion - and to see it on the big IMAX screen! It really is a good, funny movie that kept the audience laughing throughout and I would recommend it to anyone. If you get a chance to see it, do so!

Ok, I’m not going to gush on and on about this, but just let me give a big thank you to Gary Wood for asking me to be a part of this movie. It was a fantastic experience and I enjoyed working with such a great director, crew, and cast.

Oh… by the way, I’ve got a few photos of me, the director, and some of the cast that I could catch after the show (in no particular order: Cindy Morgan, Gavin Goode, Chris Bauman, Gary Wood, Joe Urban, Carl Kakasuleff, and Hank McGill) if you’d like to check them out. Enjoy!

Today is the big premier at the IMAX for my very first movie: Open Micr’s! I’m looking forwarding to seeing this final cut. The rough cut was pretty good already, so it will be very exciting to see what Gary Wood has done with the movie. Also, Gary has just put up the official Open Micr’s website. Sadly, he doesn’t list the whole cast… so you won’t see my name.

But, speaking of websites, today I received a note saying that the Zorg And Andy website also just went up! Woot! And I definitely am on that website! Check it out!

Hey, looks like I’ll be doing a small film project this weekend!

Remember how I said I worked with Gavin Lindsay Goode in Open Mic’rs? Well, Gavin is working on beefing up his portfolio and is directing a short demo film that he is filming this weekend in Indy. Basically, the film is going to be an action sequence with lots of fighting and stunts… it sounds like a blast, doesn’t it? Not only that, but this little film is going to be distributed to some high-speed folks (can you say Jet Li?).

But mostly, I’m just really excited to have the chance to work with Gavin again. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
